A Year Goes By

I can't quite believe a year has passed so quickly. It feels like yesterday that I was getting Maia ready for her first Independence Day performance putting her hair into pigtails, straightening out her little outfit; this Saturday she'll be doing it again and this time her little brother will be joining in! How fast time seems to be flying. So cliched but true. It'll also almost be a year since our last wedding anniversary, my next birthday (ugh), since Maia was potty trained, since I started driving and set up my own little business (which by the way is going from strength to strength).

So many things have happened in these 12 months but I must say it was a magical year of regaining strength, security in myself and a belief that I can do whatever I put my mind to. Sometimes it's easy to feel as though you're stuck in a rut, that nothing seems to be moving, every day melting into the next...but in reality, looking back now, I've done so much and I just keep growing.

I am proud of myself and feel so so blessed.

Tamsin, I really love your blog. I have been following it for quite a while and your texts and your pictures are really touching. I am Polish and I am about to take the same decision as you did: to marry a Chilean and go to Chile to live and create a family. Your family is just the kind I would love to have: to enjoy the moments, have time to watch the children, be by their side, to slow down and live close to nature... Your blog makes me feel that yes it is possible and furthermore, it is simply AWESOME. You are doing a great job, I'm always looking forward to new posts!!

Take care and a happy New Year :)
